2026-04-14 - ACA-Py Users Group Community Meeting

Summary:

Status – recent releases. 1.6.0 working well! Bunch of testing done.
- BC Gov will just be doing maintenance and did:webvh work, but other than that, focus is elsewhere.
Upcoming plugins
- DIDComm protocols are going into plugins – would like to get them into the community.
- Workflow
  - Implementation in place
  - Nailing down the base set of display objects – moving from chatbot interface to app interface
    - Defining and rendering in a grid
    - Discovery of capabilities – e.g. if mobile, can have swipe controls.
- Hologram profile – more on what an entity does – logo, information, branding, etc.
  - Can be done today in a couple of ways – OOB and OCA are used today.
  - OCA today is at the credential level, this is more at the connection level.
  - Updateable as things happen.
- Signatures
Review of PRs, recently closed PRs and Issues
Roadmap:
- Migration/update code/scripts
  - Good shape
  - Indy-to-did:webvh script end to end
- Move Indy code from core to a plugin
- DIDComm v2 support
  - Group communication: Calendar coordination, Meeting coordination – availability
- Support for Workflows, payments and other new DIDComm protocols – see above
- ???
