• OWF Announcements

  • Transfered in DIDCom Mediator

    • The goal of this initiative is to bring together several projects working to make a highly available Credo based mediator with modern persistent messaging.

• Package management

  • Broken package in 0.72.17

  • New package namespace

    • We’ll try using the @bifold namespace so long as that is not take and okayed by OWF legal (maybe copyright).

  • Better release tagging

    • Tim and Jason will try and find a team member who can help push versioning forward so we can get an official 1.0.0 release in our new namespace.

• Update Credo-ts from 0.5.11 to 0.5.13

• Move reference app from from /packages/legacy/app to /sample.

• Accessibility

  • Android mostly impacted. On iOS there is a property accessabilityViewIsModal to tell the OS that a screen is modal and it reads the content properly. On Android this does not exists and the screen reader will read the content behind the modal causing confusion.

• Biometry

  • On Android, if the app was not given permission to use biometrics, the user is taken to the wrong place in the Application. It needs to go to the OS settings, not the App settings.

  • We recognize we would like to move to Expo so not sure if writing native code is wise.

• Animations

  • Some animations may be glitchy and moving to react-native-reanimated may solve the problem. The package already exists, also wondering why we have it but its not use.

  • This package can be problematic. May interfear with native animations. Messing with it can break RN.

• Expo

  • We really want expo’s Biometry library more than anything. We’ll look into the possibility of just using it rather than porting the entire project to Expo.

• Jason to Create PR for maintainers / members update to governance repo

• Jason to move the “app” to “samples/app” for now

• Jason to create a ticket to track moving “core” to the top level of the “packages” and renaming “App” to “src” as part of project housekeeping.

• Ask UI/UX teams if it would be ok to show a popup or modal on Android instructing users what to do rather than taking them to the wrong place.
